Thanks to our friend Andrea Graziano we’ve been informed of this exciting summer course in Paris presented by Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. The Paris Atelier – Architect as Critical Maker course with the motto ”Lighter than air” will be held in Paris from June 3 until July 15, 2013 with visiting artist Tomas Saraceno. If you are a reader of this blog, you probably know that we are very interested in the artist’s work who is famous to push the conventions of art and architecture and their capacities to invoke inventive solutions to complex questions about how we inhabit and coexist in the world.

This work is the result of a hybrid design build practice based out of Austin, Texas and the research began in 1998 with a project that involved the digital recreation of a classical mathematical model collection housed in Goettingen, Germany.
