As we have already announce a few weeks ago, HDA | Hugh Dutton Associés is part of the design team led by Heerim Architects & Planners that won first prize for the design competition of PASSENGER TERMINAL 2 for the Incheon Int. Airport.

All’incirca un anno fa, Hugh Dutton ha ricevuto il premio “Architetture Rivelate” per il progetto della Centrale Termica Iride Energia, che abbiamo realizzato a Torino insieme all’architetto Jean Pierre Buffi.
Abbiamo riscoperto questa intervista a Hugh Dutton (in italiano) realizzata in occasione dell’evento e pubblicata da edilportale.
Nell’intervista, oltre al progetto della Centrale Termica Iride Energia, Hugh Dutton cita due importanti lavori sul territorio italiano: la passerella olimpica a Torino, realizzata nel 2006, e i piloni elettrici “Dancing with Nature” che sono attualmente in fase di test e produzione per la società Terna.

A few weeks ago there was a real buzz around electric pylons, their design and their future relationship with the landscape. On twitter, @ballardian, @ethel_baraona were tweeting links, contents and ideas about this topic and at the same time Hugh Dutton sent me this link and Dezeen was asking for high-resolution images for a publication of Pylons of the future – Dancing with Nature -, a project that we are building in Italy for Terna company (images below).

We are glad to announce that our La Roche-sur-Yon Footbridge (Bernard Tschumi & Hugh Dutton Associates) is the winner of the Condé Nast Traveller’s Innovation and Design Awards 2011 for the INFRASTRUCTURE category.
We’ll soon share more details about the Event Award that took place on Tuesday the 10th of May in London.
