We are happy to present the project TAC: Technically Advanced Construction, an exciting postgraduate education program at Politecnico di Milano. Some contacts of our network are participating in the project, such as Andrea Graziano, Lan Live Architecture Network and Luca Dal Cerro (Decode)
TAC Technically Advanced Construction is a new postgraduate course for graduates and professionals established by the Department of Building Environment Science and Technology (BEST), Politecnico di Milano and Co-de-iT. It will run for three months and will allow participants to achieve high levels of knowledge in the design-to-production process through the use of advanced digital tools for design and machines for the creation of physical models.
In their downloadable poster [PDF], they explain that « the world is constantly changing and the role of design is shifting in response to these changes. Innovative design methodologies offer a paradigm shift that allows the development of novel process-based strategies and solutions, where more intimate and efficient connections between architectural design process and production technologies, aimed to more sensible design ecologies are possible. »
